27th CORNET Call for Proposals

CORNET is short for Collective Research Networking, a transnational network which combines funding programmes of several different countries and regions in order to realise international research projects for the benefits of SMEs. At least two countries have to be involved in one research project which needs to follow the rules of pre-competitive Collective Research. From now on project consortia can cooperate also with partners from Brazil.

CORNET approach is bottom up, inviting SME organisations or groups from all industrial sectors dealing with any technology to submit proposals. CORNET, supported by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi), is designed to strengthen the innovative capacity of SMEs and accomplishs an average success rate of 66 per cent.

Until 27 March 2019 (12 p.m., CET), applicants are invited to submit their project proposal online via the CORNET Submission Tool. Detailed information about the setup of international project consortia, the application process, current guidelines and required documents are available on the CORNET website in the section Calls for Proposals.

The Brazilian funding organisation EMBRAPII recently joined CORNET and is already participating in the 27th call. Following countries are also associated to the call: Austria, Belgium-Flanders, Belgium-Wallonia, Canada-Québec, Czech Republic, Germany, Japan, Netherlands, Peru, Poland, Switzerland.
