On 25. and 26. March 2025, the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) and the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG, German Research Foundation) will be hosting the FAPESP Week Germany in Berlin. The FAPESP Week is an established format which aims to open up new opportunities for international research cooperation between researchers from the State of São Paulo, Brazil, and the target region.
The FAPESP Week Germany will take place at Freie Universität Berlin. The two-day symposium will bring together leading researchers from São Paulo and numerous German research institutions in a variety of scientific formats on topics that are relevant to both regions and in which research cooperation is to be further advanced. The DFG is the official main partner for the organisation of the FAPESP Week Germany. Many other institutions from Germany are also participating in the event's organisation. The symposium offers a diverse programme ranging from keynotes and scientific sessions to panel discussions. It also aims to provide impulses for new cooperations and informations about joint research opportunities.
