40 German universities and research institutes at the European Career Fair 2013 at MIT in Boston

More than 40 German universities and research institutions will present research opportunities at the next European Career Fair, which will be held at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 23 to 25 February 2013 in Boston, USA.

The ECF is the largest recruiting event in the United States for European companies and research institutions. It is the ideal place to discover new opportunities for a research career in Germany. The event is open to everyone, registered candidates and walk-ins. At the joint “Research in Germany” booth researchers interested in career opportunities in Germany can network with representatives from academia and research on Saturday, 23 February 2013. Information session

On Sunday, 24 February 2013 (9am–12:30pm, breakfast buffet opens at 8:00 am), the German exhibitors will hold an informative and dynamic workshop about the German research landscape, career paths and funding opportunities in Germany at the Hyatt Regency in Cambridge.

This features two interactive sessions for (under)graduate and postdoctoral students. This event is open to anyone interested in study and research in Germany. The sessions are conducted in English. The event is free, but registration is required.

The German delegation at the European Career Fair has been organised by the German Academic Exchange Service as part of the collaborative project “International Research Marketing”. Under the brand “Research in Germany” the German Academic Exchange Service, the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft and the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft initiate various international events and communication measures funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) to strengthen and expand R&D collaboration between Germany and international partners.
