The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and the Brazilian science funding organisation CAPES (Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior) are announcing a new selection round within the framework of the CAPES-Humboldt Research Fellowship Programme launched in 2013. The Capes-Humboldt Research Fellowship enables researchers from all disciplines in Brazil to carry out their personal research project in Germany at various stages of their career - in cooperation with a German research institution of their choice. In general, the host institutions will receive an allowance for research costs.
Postdoctoral fellowships amount to 2,600 EUR per month and can be applied for between 6 and 24 months. Fellowships for experienced researchers amount to 3,100 EUR per month; they can be applied for a duration of between 6 and 18 months and divided into up to three stays within three years.
The programme comprises two selection rounds per year. The application deadlines are the last working day in May and November of the year before the planned research stay.
