In the following, TV-moderator and meterologist Karsten Schwanke will interview three partners from research projects funded by the BMBF, to present practical examples of successful research cooperation. CEO of Schwenk Zement GmbH, Gerhard Hirth will introduce Celitements, innovative bonding agents which can reduce the CO2-Emissions by up to 50% compared to common portland-cement. The development and marketing of an environmental friendly pesticide in China will be discussed by Dr. Helmut Junge, CEO of ABiTEP GmbH. Dr. Nenny Sapdji from the Technology Institute in Bandung, Indonesia will present cooperation and capacity-building in a German-Indonesian project for sustainable use of geothermal reserves.
At the 7th BMBF Forum for Sustainability more than 300 international participants in about 20 sessions will present best-practice examples, explore innovative solutions and advance international research cooperation.
This year´s Forum and its sessions will focus on the following topics:

C Water and Resources.
In addition, the scientific programme and the evening events will offer manifold opportunities for informal exchanges, making contacts, discussing ideas and initiating projects.
