The six award-winning German-African cooperation projects, which are funded with prize money of € 150,000, have started their work on 1 June 2020.
With the award, the BMBF honours outstanding researchers from Africa who, on the basis of their research achievements, develop innovative solutions that are adapted to the needs of the African continent and improve people's living conditions. German-African partnerships are an important success factor in this context. The innovative projects develop sustainable solutions in the fields of health care, sustainable use of resources, renewable energies and communication technologies for the inclusion of deaf people.
