245 young researchers from 50 countries will be guests at Hamburg University from 6 to 8 November 2019 for the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation’s networking meeting. The researchers are currently in Germany as Humboldt Fellows and are working together with German colleagues at research institutions throughout the country. The meeting is being held to introduce the new Humboldtians to one another and to Hamburg – representatively for Germany as a location for conducting research. Employees of the Foundation will be on hand to provide advice on living and conducting research in Germany.
Most of this year’s participants come from the natural and life sciences (59%), followed by participants from the humanities and social sciences (28%), and from engineering (13%). The majority of the foreign guests are from the USA (27), China (16) and Brazil (13). 18 participants are currently conducting research in Hamburg.
