German Science Centre Cairo participates in “Bio Vision Alexandria 2016” broaching the issue of “New Life Sciences”

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina is organising the 8th biennial international conference “Bio Vision Alexandria 2016” at the Library of Alexandria from 12th to 14th April 2016. The German Science Centre (DWZ) will continue the tradition of involvement by facilitating the participation of renowned German scientists from different research fields displaying the interdisciplinary approach of the DWZ.

The theme of BVA 2016 will be “New Life Sciences: The Road Ahead”. The conference focuses on the three major themes “health”, “food and agriculture” and “environment”. Around 2000 researchers and interested students are expected to participate in the event. Alongside this conference, the BA organises a major fair titled “BioFair@BioVisionAlexandria2016” and a poster session for young researchers and scientists.  As part of the “Bio Vision” conference a track under the title “Robotics and Biorobotics in Life Sciences” will be launched. It is planned to tackle these research fields in depth for the benefit of society, especially developing countries.

In the year 2014 the DZW had participated in the conference in Bibliotheca Alexandrina with lectures, information booths and a panel discussion featuring researchers from TU München, TU Berlin and FU Berlin.
