The German Office is an essential component of the "Strategy paper of the Federal Government on international vocational education and training cooperation from a single source", which was adopted by the Federal Cabinet under the lead management of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) at the start of July 2013. This new point of contact at BIBB officially commenced its work in September 2013. It provides specialist support to the Federal Government in international VET cooperation and creates transparency both within and outside Germany by forming an information exchange platform.
This means that the expertise that BIBB is able to provide in its capacity as a national centre of excellence for initial and continuing vocational education and training helps to inform international vocational education and training cooperation.
