The lecture series is jointly organized by the Coordination Unit “Sustainable Development in International Cooperation” of the University of Bonn and the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) and will take place on six Thursdays in the Summer Semester 2015, from 6 to 8 p.m. (University Main Building, Lecture Hall III).
In the lecture series „Towards a Sustainable Energy Future“, international experts will analyze and discuss the political, technological, financial, socioeconomic, commercial and regional challenges on the way to a sustainable use of renewable energy. The lectures will be held in English.

- April 9: REMAP – Global Renewable Energy Outlook
- April 23: Renewable Energy Technologies and Innovation
- May 7: Renewable Energy: The True Costs
- May 21: The Transformation of Power Systems with the Integration of Renewable Energies
- June 11: Island Lighthouses - Renewable Energies on Islands
- June 25: Energy Planning and Renewable Energies in Africa
