In 2015, France will be hosting and presiding the 21st Session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP21/CMP11). The objective of COP21 is to reach a new international agreement on climate which applies to all countries, including France and Germany. With common objectives in the field of energy such as consumption reduction, better use, and reduction of greenhouse gases, both have specific assets in this domain which call for closer cooperation, notably within the European Union.
The symposium will allow to review the different research structures and experiences in these fields, with a view to finding new synergies exchanging best practices. French and German research actors will present and discuss their contribution to the energy policy of their country. Further information, as well as the agenda of the symposium will be provided in due course. This conference, organized by the Department for Science and Technology and the Department of the Counsellor for Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy at the Embassy of France in Germany.
