FISITA-Reisestipendien für Ingenieurstudenten

Stichtag: 31.10.2015 Stipendien

FISITA, the international organisation for the automotive engineering profession, announced the deadline for the second round of its 2015 Student Travel Bursary that offers up to EUR 2,000 to any student studying engineering looking to work or study abroad.

The funding initiative was first launched in 2006 and since then FISITA has awarded almost EUR 230,000 to students from 35 countries. FISITA has funded overseas work placements at companies such as BMW, Ford and General Motors as well as research placements at leading engineering departments in Berkeley, Cambridge and Berlin. Through its established links with the industry, FISITA is uniquely positioned to connect exceptional engineering talent with top automotive companies, providing valuable experience to students at the beginning of their career within the automotive sector.

FISITA CEO Chris Mason said, “The Travel Bursary is a fundamental part of FISITA’s education enterprise and a key engagement activity for our member societies and corporate members. Due to the high number of applications we receive for the bursary, we have increased funding for the initiative by 50% this year, enabling us to help a greater number of students fulfil their aspirations and begin their careers in the automotive industry.”

Any student that is a registered member of a FISITA member society and is currently in full time higher education studying engineering is eligible to apply for the FISITA Travel Bursary. Students must have organised their placement before applying. Applications are judged by members of the FISITA Education Committee. The deadline for applications is Saturday 31st October 2015.
