The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies).
It is the former Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies, which was renamed on October 11 2021, based on the relevant Presidential Decree, with the addtitional aims to expand the application of digitalization and innovation, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.
