Argentina is very active within the regional EU-CELAC (the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States) Joint Initiative for research and innovation. Argentina co-chairs, together with France, the Working Group on bioeconomy and food security.
The EU's Joint Research Centre (JRC) cooperates with Argentina in nuclear energy, agriculture, water, climate, ICT / future internet. Nuclear energy is the area where cooperation with the JRC is most advanced.
