The Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education (IfA) is an employer led crown Non Departmental Public Body.
The Institute oversees the development, approval and publication of apprenticeship standards and assessment plans as well as the occupational maps for T Levels and apprenticeships.
The Institute is responsible for Technical Qualifications, which is the main, classroom-based element of the T Level. T Levels are two-year technical study programmes that will become one of three major options for students to study at level 3 alongside apprenticeships and A levels.
