The Research Council of Norway has just been examined from top to toe in a major international evaluation. Conclusion: Much has been achieved, but important challenges remain to be solved. In the new issue of Forskning magazine Director General Arvid Hallén provides his commentary on the evaluation.
Innovation in the public sector is a relatively new priority area for the Research Council. Forskning magazine presents the new initiative and input from players in both the research and the municipal spheres.
This year marks the tenth anniversary of the launch of the SkatteFUNN Tax Incentive Scheme for Norwegian companies. During this time, some 21 000 projects have been approved for tax deductions related to research and development expenditures.

Forskning magazine
Forskning magazine offers news and features about Norwegian research and the initiatives and activities of the Research Council. The magazine also focuses on the internationalisation of Norwegian research as well as the debate on strategies, plans and decisions concerning Norwegian research in general.
Forskning is issued (in Norwegian) four times a year. Selected articles from the magazine are translated into English on a regular basis and published on the Research Council website.
