A mandate was given by Federal Government of Nigeria to the National Planning Commission (NPC) to develop a blue print that will lead Nigeria to be among the top 20 economies of the world by the year 2020. In pursuance of this mandate, NPC created 29 National Technical Working Groups (NTWG) to address various thematic areas.
The Report of the Vision 2020 of National Technical Working Group on the Education Sector gives a current assessment of the education sector and derives strategies for Basic Education, Post-Basic Education, and Tertiary Education.
