Funding opportunities for joint workshops between researchers from Germany and the state of São Paulo: FAPESP-DFG Joint Workshops 2017
In order to enhance the collaboration between researchers in Germany and in the state of São Paulo, the German Research Foundation (DFG) and the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) jointly launch a call for German-Brazilian workshops. The purpose of this call is to seed collaborative activity between scientists that may lead to the development of new bilateral research projects.
Joint Brazilian-German proposals for workshops can be submitted to DFG and FAPESP until 24th February 2017.
German applicants shall submit their proposals within the programme Initiation of International Collaboration of DFG. Scientists from the state of São Paulo shall apply for specific funding considering the FAPESP programme Organisation of Scientific Meeting (“Auxílio à Pesquisa – Organização de Reunião Científica”). The scientific and organisational content of the proposal shall be identical on both sides. Funds will be provided for travel and per diem for the scientists involved as well as for additional costs for the organisation of the workshops according to the guidelines and criteria of both organisations. Upon positive evaluation, funding of two workshops will be provided for one year from the time of grant approval, which is planned for July 2017.
