Asean Elenex 2011

Zeitraum: 20.07.2011 - 23.07.2011 Ort: Kuala Lumpur Land: Malaysia

Asean Elenex, the biennial show for Transmission & Distribution and Electrical Engineering will be running its 9th series from 20 – 23 July 2011 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. Asean Elenex 2011 will once again be hosted by Tenaga Nasional Berhad and will also be supported by renowned organisations and associations such as Energy Commission and The Electrical and Electronics Association of Malaysia (TEEAM). Held alongside AE 2011 is another ideal business sourcing platform, Industrial Automation (IA) 2011 which is the ultimate solutions provider for the manufacturing process, control and measurement equipment & technology industries in the region.

In 2009, Asean Elenex attracted 5,876 trade buyers across the region who had the opportunity to meet the 431 companies from 25 nations. Many exhibitors reported having benefited and received excellent sales leads from the 4-day showcase. Local and global investors looking for new business opportunities in the areas of electrical engineering, and power generation will highly benefit from this event.

Malaysia currently has approximately 13 gigawatts (GW) of electric generation capacity, of which 84% is thermal and 16% is hydroelectric. In 2000, Malaysia generated around 63 billion kilowatthours (kWh) of electricity. The Malaysian government expects that investments of $9.7 billion will be required in the electric utility sector through 2010. Much of that amount will be for coal-fired plants, as the Malaysian government is promoting a shift away from the country's heavy reliance on natural gas for electric power generation. Both renewable and non-renewable energy sources are utilised for power usage in Malaysia. Non-renewable energy resources include petroleum, natural gas and coal, while renewable sources include hydro power, solar power and biomass power. Energy consumption in Malaysia is sustainable with the current rate of the economic development. Approximately 68.34 billion kWh of electricity is generated annually, with 63.48 billion kWh of electricity consumed per year.

With the Malaysian industry situation offering an array of investment opportunities in the electricity industry, Asean Elenex would be an ideal opportunity to seize!

Parallel zur Asean Elenex findet die Asean Industrial Automation statt.
