The international VDI conference "Biofuels 2014" will take place in Rotterdam/Netherlands from July 15 - 16 and the apropriate Workshop "Sustainability Assessment of Integrated Biorefineries" on July 18, 2014. The VDI conference will discuss major issues for the biofuel markets, in technical, political and business areas, drawing on leading experiences from all over Europe.
Be part of an international exchange of experience on biofuel-research and development covering biodiesel, bioethanol, HVO, jetfuel with a special focus on conversion technologies of 1st, 2nd and 3rd generation feedstocks.
2014 is an important year for the biofuel sector. The key question for the industry is: What is necessary to increase biofuel volumes in Europe? The international VDI Conference "Biofuels" will discuss major issues for the biofuel markets, in technical, political and business areas, drawing on leading experiences from all over Europe. The event aims to encourage an international exchange of experience on biofuel-research and development covering biodiesel, bioethanol, HVO, jetfuel with a special focus on conversion technologies of 1st, 2nd and 3rd generation feedstocks. The conference Biofuels - Feedstocks and conversion technologies on July 15 - 16, 2014 will bring together renowed speakers from Europe and the USA to present their results on the following topics:
- EU Legislation, national support mechanisms, effects of double counting
- Best Practice Examples: Conversion technologies/processes of bioethanol and biodiesel
- GHG emissions, sustainability and feedstocks Booming markets
- Best Practice Examples: Conversion technologies/processes
- New developments and technologies such as algae and straw to ethanol
