The IraSME network funds:
- the development of new products, processes or technical services which exceed the current international state of the art.
- technical/experimental development up to a prototype level.
- R&D with significant technical risks for each funded partner.

Russia has been suspended from all IraSME activities until further notice.
The minimum constellation is 2 companies from 2 participating countries/regions, except Austria (consortium of at least 3 companies, at least 2 of which must be SMEs from participating countries/regions, at least 1 SME in Austria) and Brazil (companies must team up with an EMBRAPII unit).
The IraSME network is managed by AiF Projekt GmbH. The application deadline is 29 March 2023 (31 January 2023 for Czech Republic national applications). A draft consortium agreement (unsigned) has to be provided by all German applicants (translated into German). It is to contain all points mentioned in the ZIM guidelines. Up until six weeks before the call deadline, all German ZIM applicants may submit a short overview of the project (“Projektskizze”) and send it via e-mail to AiF Projekt GmbH in order to receive some non-binding feedback.
