In its three year of existence, the international ELEKTRO EXPO fair become an effective instrument for promoting electric, electronic and energy companies that are active on Slovak trade. Its aiming leads to support of national economy of Slovak Republic, which is reflected in structure of exhibitors as well as in concept of side events. Professional visitor’s participation is a guarantee for a new business contacts and long-time communication partnerships.
In 2010, we managed to open a separate section on this fair which was dedicated to lighting technology as the only project of its kind in Slovakia. We are witnessing continuous replacement of street lighting systems in Slovak municipalities by advanced gas discharge tube lighting. For this purpose, the municipalities are drawing funds from the European Union and the fair represents an ideal mind, we decided to put more emphasis on electrical and lighting equipment in 2011 and rename the fair to "ELEKTRO a SVETLO" (ELECTRO and LIGHT) this time.
