The initial financing of most cleantech companies come from private means, bank loans and overdraft. However, this form of funding is rarely sufficient for many of the more ambitious young companies. Therefore, there is a need to find some kind of financing, typically equity funding.
This form of financing is achieved by "selling" a part of the company to new shareholders or shareholders. In practice. it is called "expansion of the share - or a share capital". It sounds better than "selling a part of the company" to new investors, but that is what happens! That is just one example of how participation in a Master Class will introduce you to the terminology, the pitfalls and opportunities associated with the funding process. Aspects such a capital increase will be reviewed and participants given insight as to how investors act, how they think and how they analyse investment opportunities - and why. The aspects of the fundraising process are supported with examples from "real life". Also, relevant analysis methods - and tools will be discussed. Finally, the important facts about the preparation of a business plans and the important "investment summary" will be covered.
Teaching materials are in English, but the seminar will be conducted in Danish. Following the Master Class, participants have the option of individual coaching. Experience shows, that companies that have participated in previous Master Classes have gained important new contacts, og even been involved in some of the EU projects which InvestorNet-Gate2Growth, that conducts the Master Class is involved in, as a direct result of the class.
