The Symposium on Transatlantic EU-U.S. Cooperation on Innovation and Technology Transfer will take place on 22 March 2011 in Vienna at the premises of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber (Wirtschaftskammer Oesterreich)
The purpose of the EU-U.S. Symposium on Innovation and Technology Transfer is to increase mutual understanding and raise awareness on open innovation processes and structure and operations of the technology transfer and innovation systems in Europe and the U.S.
The Symposium will bring together technology transfer firms, major research organisations, technology and other related experts to discuss the open innovation paradigm, Innovation Union and its implications on EU-U.S. cooperation; development and management methods of open innovation by large companies, R&D Centers and Intermediaries; open innovation’s implications on Intellectual Property, Global Networks and national and regional policies, as well as good practice examples on selected topics of mutual interest including recommendations for tackling challenges to trans-Atlantic cooperation.
