In order to strengthen international cooperation in the field of the humanities and social sciences, wishing to fund high quality scientific research within their own countries, and conscious that some of the best research can be delivered by working with the best researchers internationally, National Science Centre (NCN - Narodowe Centrum Nauki) and the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) are launching their first joint call for proposals in order to fund the best joint research projects in the humanities and social sciences. The scheme will provide funding for integrated Polish-German projects. The partner agencies will conduct a coordinated peer review and a single joint selection process. Funding will be distributed among the partners according to researchers’ place of work, and generally according to the funding rules of each individual agency.
Proposals outlining projects of basic research (knowledge-oriented research) may be submitted in any area of the humanities and social sciences.
Deadline for the 1st call for proposals: 10 December 2014 (DFG), 15 December 2014 (NCN)
