The European Commission launches an EU - Latin America survey on intellectual property, internationalisation and SMEs
The survey will analyse the needs and expectations of SMEs from the EU and Latin America who are active in Latin American markets, taking into account the comparative effects of legislation and their effective implementation.
The Commission is conducting an online survey based on barriers and needs in the field of protection and enforcement of intellectual property (IP).
The goal of this study is to collect experiences, opinions and expectations of EU SMEs and their Latin American partners active in Latin America, related to intellectual property and internationalisation. The findings will contribute to policy conclusions in the field of IP that allow better cooperation between EU and Latin American partners.
The Directorate-General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs is asking targeted SMEs to participate in this online survey and is requesting that SME stakeholder organisations support the consortium carrying out the survey by promoting it to their contacts.
The questionnaire should not take more than 10-15 minutes. The survey is anonymous and the responses will be treated confidentially, in aggregated format and only for the purpose of this study. The survey is being undertaken on behalf of the Commission by the consultancy firm CARSA, in consortium with PwC Luxembourg, London Economics and Innova SpA. All participants will receive a summary report of the main results.
