The European Summit on Innovation for Active and Healthy Ageing will bring together European policy and market leaders to address the challenges arising from an aging population through ICT and innovation in a way that helps stimulate economic growth for Europe.
The central topic of the summit is "how can technology, innovation and new ways of cooperation help Europe to turn this major challenge into an opportunity?"
The summit will include live demonstrations, sand pits, and an interactive exhibition to help demonstrate the topics being disussed. A wide variety of meetings and side events will also aim to develop new ways to channel the opportunties present in demographic ageing into growth and jobs.
Several European Commissioners, national ministers, regional authorites, industry leaders (including from SMEs and startups), and civil society leaders will take the floor and lead the debates.
