The European Commission is organising a high-level conference on "Modern Biotechnologies in Agriculture – Paving the way for responsible innovation". This one-day conference will take place in the Charlemagne Building, Rue de la Loi 170, Brussels, Belgium, on Thursday 28 September 2017 from 9.30 to 18.00. It will be followed by a cocktail reception.
The aim of the conference is to stimulate an informed and open debate among all stakeholders on how the EU can benefit from modern biotechnologies and innovation in the food and agricultural sector while maintaining high safety standards. The participants will be prominent European policy makers, relevant industry stakeholders, representatives of civil society, scientists, and government experts.
