The "2019 EUA Annual Conference: Driving innovation in Europe’s universities" will be hosted by the Sorbonne University in Paris from 11-12 April 2019 and will look at the pivotal role of universities in shaping innovation.
Through plenary and breakout sessions, the 2019 EUA Annual Conference will provide insight into specific policies and practices that enable innovation and entrepreneurship to thrive at universities. It will focus on how European universities can contribute to innovation in Europe, enhancing learning and empowering students, and partnering with a wide range of stakeholders from the rest of society. A special hot topic session will focus on the role of artificial intelligence as a transversal and disruptive technology. Participants will address the technical, political and ethical implications of this much-discussed revolution.
The event will be of interest to institutional leaders (rectors, vice-rectors and heads of administration), higher education researchers and analysts, as well as representatives of other bodies involved in educational policy.
