The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment of Finland, in collaboration with the European Commission, is organising the High-Level Conference "The Innovation Principle – Developing an innovation-friendly legislative culture". The invitation-only conference will take place on 3 December 2019 in Helsinki under the auspices of Finland’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The quality of regulatory and legislative culture in relation to innovation is an increasingly important element of innovation-led growth and competitiveness.
The aim of the conference is to raise awareness and build a shared understanding of opportunities and challenges in developing an innovation-friendly legislative culture in Europe. A further aim is to identify key policy questions on how to facilitate the use of the Innovation Principle in promoting sustainable growth through building the best possible ecosystem for innovation to flourish.
The conference will bring together high-level decision makers, businesses, researchers, civil society and other innovation stakeholders to discuss and share their insights and experiences.
The event will be webstreamed.
