The website is an initiative financed by the European Commission's Directorate-General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs (DG GROW).
It provides practical information for European Union businesses in need of clear guidelines to trade with or invest in Japan, or cooperate with Japanese partners, such as:
- sectoral information (market surveys, including information on R&D and Innovation);
- cross-cutting issues (such as corporate tax and IPR, etc); and
- inter-cultural training.
It is managed by the EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation, a joint venture between the European Commission's Directorate-General for Enterprise & Industry and the Japanese Government's Ministry of Economy, Trade & Industry (METI).
