The DFG’s partner organizations, JST and AMED, have launched calls for the program ASPIRE to fund large-scale international collaborative joint research projects and promote researcher’s mobility. In this program researchers in Japan can receive funding to collaborate with researchers in Germany who have an existing grant by the DFG.

To facilitate exchange between the research communities in Japan and Germany, DFG and Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) jointly fund German-Japanese workshops. The 2023 call was opened on 12 June by JSPS. Proposals are accepted until 5 September in all scientific areas.
