KEDI conducts scientific analysis and develops appropriate policy measures to meet Korea’s current educational issues such as lowering the expenditure of private tutoring, improving the achievement level of students, increasing autonomy in schools, and enhancing the quality of university.
KEDI conducts research focusing on discovering Korea’s educational policy agenda, develops alternative policy plans and evaluates policy results.
KEDI belongs to a group of 23 research institutes affiliated with the National Research Council for Economics, Humanities and Social Sciences (NRC) under the Prime Minister's Office.
