KRIVET is a national policy research institute, established in 1997 with the mandate of supporting national human resources development policy and the Korean public’s lifelong skills development.
KRIVET belongs to a group of 23 research institutes affiliated with the National Research Council for Economics, Humanities and Social Sciences (NRC) under the Prime Minister's Office.
KRIVET operates the network National Human Resources Development (NHRD.net) to conduct research on Technical and Vocational Education and training (TVET) and Human Resources Development (HRD), and to support government policies for the purpose of developing the vocational capacity of its citizens.
