On 17 September, European and Korean representatives met in Brussels for the launch of a platform for industrial policy dialogue between the EU and Korea. The objective of the ongoing dialogue is to contribute to strengthening the relationship between the EU and Korea, notably for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs).
In effect to the Republic of Korea’s participation in the joint EU-EUREKA Eurostars programme, EUREKA representatives were also invited to take part in some of the discussions. Since 2014, the Republic of Korea is associated to Eurostars, a funding programme specially designed for R&D- intensive SMEs.
