Nacentech is a state owned research & development organization that serves to strengthen the technological competitiveness of Vietnam. Established in 1984 by the Vietnam Government Office, it was affiliated with the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) in 1994.
NACENTECH’s mission is to research and apply new high technologies (laser, infrared, electronic-informatics, materials, biology and environment) by creating and transferring technology. Initially NACENTECH focused on research and development (R&D).
After 2005, NACENTECH continued to be active in R&D, but shifted its focus towards the commercialization of R&D results, technology transfer and industrial services.
