New RCN brochure: Norwegian research collaboration with China

In connection with the World Exhibition EXPO 2010 in Shanghai the Research Council has produced a brochure that presents Norwegian research within the thematic priority areas of climate, the environment, energy and welfare and provides an overview of Norwegian research institutions and their cooperation with China.

The brochure is available in English and Chinese and can be downloaded from the link in the right-hand column.

Seminars focus on priority areas

The Research Council is organising a series of scientific seminars during EXPO 2010 under Norway's overall EXPO theme, "Norway ' Powered By Nature". The first of these will take place on 21 ' 22 May and will focus on climate and energy technology. Further seminars planned for September will revolve around environmental, climate and polar research.

Together with the seminars, the Norwegian exhibition at EXPO 2010 will demonstrate how proximity to nature influences the quality of life in cities and how people in Norway make use of their natural surroundings as a source not only of recreation and inspiration, but also of clean energy.
