As energy prices soar, and consumers and utility companies look for ways to integrate renewable sources, making a smarter grid is becoming more important. This will require technologies that enable peak shaving/demand response, electric vehicle integration, variable pricing to match consumption to generation, efficient storage and transmission, and microgeneration.
This session will showcase Cambridge technologies from Network members AlertMe, AmiHo, ARM and TTP. It will also feature guest speaker Daniel Hullah (pictured), Principal at Rockport Capital, a VC investing in cleantech technology, who will give the investor's perspective. The event will be chaired by Hugh Parnell of EnviroTech.
Speakers include:

- Steve Clarke (Founder and Technical Director, AMiHo) Home Area Network communications or My gas meter has become a windbag - what language is it speaking?
This event will take place at lunchtime, with registration from 11:30, and close by 14:30. Presentations will be followed by discussion and Q&A, then a networking buffet lunch. The venue is the Hauser Forum (3 Charles Babbage Road, Cambridge, CB3 0GT).
