RISE Research Institutes of Sweden AB is a group of research institutes which is fully owned by the Swedish state.
RISE’s mission is to coordinate Swedish research institutes as a sector and to strengthen their role in the innovation system through effective corporate governance and work on structural, performance and funding issues. The overall objective of the institutes in the RISE group is to be internationally competitive and to work for sustainable growth in Sweden by strengthening competitiveness and innovation in the business sector.
Following a series of mergers the new RISE is organised in six divisions covering

- Built Environment
- Information and Communication Technologies
- Bioscience and materials
- Safety & Transport
- Certification.
