The European Defence Fund (EDF) aims to stimulate and support common and cross-border research and development in the field of defence. In support of the EDF and European cooperation, FFG, VDI Technologiezentrum, Bayern Innovativ, the Bavarian Research Alliance and the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) are organizing an EDF matchmaking event, together with the Enterprise Europe Network.
This matchmaking will take place in Munich, Bavaria, between the 25th and 27th of March. The aim of this innovation mission is to improve the cooperation between industry and research organisations of these three countries in relation to the EDF. To ensure relevant matchmakings and an interesting programme for the participants, the matchmaking has a focus on specific topics:
- Technologies for counter-battery capabilities
- Autonomous triage and evacuation
- Risk, robustness and resilience for autonomous vehicles in military operations
- Non-thematic research actions targeting disruptive technologies for defence
- Non-thematic research actions by small and medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) and research organisations
The matchmaking is open to all entities eligible to participate in the European Defence Fund who would like to discover the opportunities to collaborate (further) between Austrian, German and Dutch partners on the selected themes in relation to the EDF.
