The Science and Technology Diplomacy Summer School is a joint effort by Barcelona Science and Technology Diplomacy Hub (SciTech DiploHub) and IBEI, the Barcelona Institute for International Studies, along with Barcelona’s leading organizations in science and international affairs.
The Summer School offers a valuable opportunity to examine the most relevant developments in science diplomacy while getting certified through this university-accredited training. The program is led by world-leading practitioners in science diplomacy and tailored to provide hands-on experience to the next cohort of leaders in this emerging field, aimed at mid-career scientists and technology experts, as well as diplomats and international relations practitioners. It covers the most pressing issues on Science and Technology Diplomacy ranging from sustainable development to technology diplomacy, with a special focus on Europe, the Mediterranean and the role of global cities.
The discount fee for all accepted participants of the school is 1,500 euros. This is a not-for-profit project. The real economic cost of the course is 3,000 euros, and is generously subsidized thanks to partner organizations.
